A Different Perspective on the stories around Israel

Welcome back to the News Roundup. You will notice that we feature three stories this week that have important significance to the rhetoric about Israel that has become the norm in mainstream media.

These stories show a different side and are important to keep in mind when looking at the Middle East as a whole. Read on and please let us know what your thoughts are in the comments section.

In Protesting Ayatollah Regime, Iranians Shout ‘Death to Palestine’

Why not “Death to Israel”? Because the Iranian people are the ones talking truthfully now. Not forced to chant what they don’t believe. They are fed up and raising their voices to protest against the Ayatollah and his brutal regime that has cost the citizens dearly in this Middle East country.

What most forget is that Iran and Israel had a warm relationship prior to the Ayatollah’s regime beginning in 1979 with the Iranian Revolution. Many senior Israelis remember this and are convinced that if the Ayatollah falls, then the Iranian citizens will once again be allies of Israel.

We can only hope and pray that Israel regains their ally, Iran and peace begins to spread. Please click the link in the title to read more details.

Prince William Was Stoned in Ramallah. Why Didn’t the Media Report It?

That is the question we would like answered.  If it was Jewish children creating a ruckus, it would have been front page news! But when the Palestinian children, who are raised on a diet of hatred and racism throw stones at the vehicle carrying a member of the British Royal Family, it is kept quiet.

No one was hurt and the convoy moved on. Quds News reported it through the lens of the grudge that Palestinians still blame the British for handing “their” country over to the Jews.  Just don’t mention the fact that they were offered most of the land that Israel lives on now and refused it.

HRH Prince William was there to meet with Palestinian and UN officials in Ramallah. We will probably hear more about what was discussed as the days go by. For now, we are interested to see if Prince Williams’ visit and the behavior he witnessed first hand will change the Royal Family’s perspective of the region. Time will tell.

Israel Transferred Aid to Syrians Seeking Refuge Near Border in Overnight Mission

Israel has a long history of helping its neighbors in the Middle East and all over the globe. They were at it again recently and transferred tonnes of humanitarian aid to the border encampments that have sprung up as Syrians are fleeing the bombing happening in their country. Food, Medicine and Clothing along with 300 tents were delivered to three different points along the Golan border with Syria in an overnight mission conducted by the IDF. According to the UN, over 120,000 Syrians have fled the fighting in the Daraa region in recent days.

We recently posted a video about Israelis collecting donations and sending aid to their Syrian neighbors last year. You can watch that video here.
