So much is happening all the time and we try to share the most important or relevant ones with you. We are so pleased to see the support for Israel, the new funds that once again, verify the indigenous nature of the Jewish people to Israel, and the utter betrayal we feel for our country as we see our government welcome Hamas into its midst.
Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) raised a record $60 million at its annual Western Region Gala in November. And there were plenty of celebrities there to show their support, including Ashton Kutcher, Pharrell Williams, Gerard Butler, Andy Garcia, Fran Drescher, Ziggy Marley, David Foster, Katharine McPhee, and the author’s personal friend David Draiman.
Israel has always found support in America to varying degrees, but to have such a warm reception and to raise the highest amount to date was heart-warming in the media culture Israel finds itself in these days.

It is with great sadness that we shared this story on our Facebook page before it was even released on South African news outlets. Hamas delegates have been courting our government for several years and have received an agreement from them to support them in boycotting Israel completely. To quote from the article: “The memorandum was signed on Tuesday by al-Zahar and Jackson Mthembu on behalf of the ANC. According to one pro-ANC news outlet, the memorandum “seeks to introduce practical steps in mobilizing the international community to pressure Israel to end its occupation of Palestine, including working towards the full boycott of all Israeli products.” The phrase that we bolded is one to pay special attention to, because it seems to be saying that no Jew will be allowed to stay in Israel. Food for thought.
