This article is in response to the outrageous comments, mostly from South African Muslims, questioning Jewish sovereignty to the Land of Israel. Never do they analyse the claims of Palestinians; they just treat it as an ‘Allah given right’!
So here are my few words about the Palestinian people. You are not a nation. You are an Arab fiction whose sole purpose is to conquer the Land of Israel.
Let us start with your name ‘Palestine’. It is NOT your name and never was. Note that the word Palestine or Filastin does not appear in the Koran.
The name is believed to be derived from the Egyptian and Hebrew word peleshet, roughly translated to mean” rolling” or “migratory” and was used to describe the inhabitants of the land to the Northeast of Egypt – the Philistines.
The Philistines – an Aegean people – were more closely related to the Greeks and with no connection ethnically, linguistically or historically with any Muslim folk who appeared on the scene in the 7th century AD.
In fact, the word “Palestine” would have had no connection whatsoever to the area that is now Israel, were it not for Emperor Hadrian, who after crushing the Jewish Revolt of Shimon Bar Kokhba in 132 AD, wanted to set an example. Not only did he want to crush the Jews physically, but spiritually and psychologically, and he tried to do so by divesting the region of its Jewish name ‘Judea”, and renaming it Palaestina.
Hadrian’s aim was simple: to minimize Jewish identification with the land of Israel. The same thing that Arabs and Muslims are trying to do today and what I note in the comments of many of the Muslim commenters on IsraeLink.
The present-day “Palestinians” have no connection whatsoever to the Philistines who were red-haired sailors who came to the shores of Israel and disappeared from the region some 1600 years before the birth of Muhammad. We can see from documentation of all the conquests that were in the Land of Israel, from ancient times to the Ottoman period and finally the British Mandate that preceded the State of Israel – no mention of a Palestinian people or a Palestinian state. Makes one wonder…
It is a sad state of affairs that the only documentation that Palestine advocates use of is Palestinian propaganda camouflaged as the historical record. To build a “nation” out of thin air and falsehoods begs the question, what is the purpose? It is clear what the aim is.
By all accounts, Jordan is already a Palestinian state as those who refer to themselves as “Palestinians” make up most of the population. However, the global Arab plan is transparent, that is, to have three ‘Palestinian’ states:
It’s not going to happen. Israel has no plan to commit suicide.
I refer you to the book “A Journey of Pleasure in the Holy Land” written by the great nineteenth-century American writer, Mark Twain in 1867. He toured Israel in all its breadth and saw no Palestinians, no green orchards, no Arab villages, and no bustling cities.
Nothing!
What he did see and describes eloquently, was desolate swamps, cholera, fever, malaria, and endless sand. “The land of tears,” he called the land of Israel.
In conclusion, if you are sitting in your home connected to electricity in Israel and typing an answer on the computer, it is because Jews have established a country here that allows you to live on a completely different level than the majority of your brothers in the Arab countries in the region.
You may be jealous, this I can understand. You want to conquer this tiny country as so many before you have tried, and this too I can understand.
But please don’t bore us with fabricated ‘Palestinian’ history.
The only people you are fooling are yourselves.
